QuEST Forum Academy Webinar: “The ISO Standard Development Process”
Presented by: Natalia Larrimer, ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB)
What are standards, and how and why do standards influence international trade? How can an organization be sure that its suppliers around the world meet the same operational requirements? International standards make things work around the world. International standardization and global specifications for products, services, and systems not only ensure a consistent level of quality, safety, and efficiency in different countries but are also instrumental in facilitating international trade.
Join the webinar to learn how international standards are developed and how ideas and expert opinions become international requirements. At the end of the session, participants will have an understanding of what constitutes an international standard and the process for its development. The webinar will also introduce the participants to the relationship between ISO and IEC and national standard developing organizations.
