Don Irvine has been in the Telecommunications/ICT industry for 50 years. He started his career right out of high school with Florida Telephone Corporation (now CenturyLink) as a lineman. Over his 18 Years with the company he held several craft and management positions. He served as Vice President of the local union CWA 5176 for 2 years prior to being promoted to management. He served as Special Services Supervisor, PBX engineer, Product Manager, and Operations Manager.

As a result of industry deregulation in 1984, Don went to work with Vodavi a Key Systems manufacturer as Product Manager for a new key system called the 1A3. . At Vodavi he progressed to become Vice President Operations responsible for Product Development, Off-shore manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and logistics.

In 2000 he joined Samsung Telecommunications as Senior Director Operations. He was responsible for modernizing the current systems to new VoIP Technology. This included all Product Development and Management, Quality Assurance, Market Positioning, Technical Support and Dealer Experience for the company’s Key Telephone Systems.

Don came to QuEST Forum in 2008 and soon became the Chief of Staff where he was responsible for the daily operations, strategic planning, membership growth, and financial stability for QuEST Forum, including the TL 9000 Quality Management System and other associated and innovative products at QuEST Forum.

Don served with the Navy “Seabees” both active and reserve for 26 years, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, and is a Vietnam War veteran. He holds a BS Business/Marketing from the Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida
