Telecom Business Excellence (TBE) Work Group
The charter of the TBE Work Group is to identify and share best practices to improve operational excellence in the telecom industry. Its major thrusts are to continually advance new approaches for global and regional Best Practices Conferences; manage and promote the Best Practices Knowledge Library; and, facilitate selection and sharing of best practices across the telecom community.
TBE Objectives
- Improve QuEST Forum best practices processes
- Evolve and promote conferences on a global basis
- Develop systems to facilitate the sharing of best practices across the QuEST Forum membership
2008 TBE Initiatives and Projects
- Host the Best Practices Conference in Denver in September 2008 with significant topics, engaging speakers and stimulating panel sessions
- Plan, coordinate and execute regional best practices conferences
- Strategic mapping of regional audiences, interests, topics and best practice sources to develop, plan and execute on-target regional conferences
- Evaluate and select topics in new areas of interest like network operations, mobility services, multi-media, software development and applications, and more
- Proactively secure early abstracts submissions and global best practice deployment processes for conferences
- Help construct a framework of Web tools, TBE processes and virtual meetings to share and execute regional best practices events
- Facilitate and jointly plan with the Global work group and regional hubs to create new global conferences model in 2009, where each region will host a combined global and Best Practices conference.
