Cost of Poor Quality

“Cost of poor quality (CoPQ) is a financial measurement of the costs that would disappear if systems, processes, products and projects were efficient.” – Juran Global

QuEST Forum’s CoPQ Strategic Initiative is focused on strengthening linkages between quality and business performance. The team has identified, normalized, defined and is now benchmarking the following common CoPQ elements – customer reported defects, scrap, penalties, software defects and hardware repair.
