Strategic Vision
The quality management system of the future will be much more than process management, continuous improvement and business excellence. It will also include a clear quality path throughout the product lifecycle, develop tools to boost effectiveness across complex global supply value chains, and establish a set of common performance metrics for networks and devices to maximize the customer experience.
QuEST Forum developed and adopted a Strategic Vision in late 2006 to address the numerous interesting challenges and remarkable opporunities in the global telecom industry. It lays out a clear road map for the organization and TL 9000 standards, launch of new products and services for a broader audience, and new approaches to member value.
QuEST Forum's Strategic Vision guides the organization's efforts to:
- Continually enhance the relevance of quality requirements and performance measurement standards to existing and new technologies at all supply value chain levels
- Grow QuEST Forum to become the benchmark for non-profit quality associations by way of a highly satisfied membership, fiscal responsibility, and organizational competence
- Develop into a leading source of quality data and industry trends through performance data reports, benchmarking, high-impact best practices events, and an extensive research library
- Create a suite of expert resources that will broaden the interest, membership and participation of new industry entrants like global content and application providers
- Offer a meaningful industry-wide forum for discussion of critical quality issues and comparative frameworks like CMMI, Lean, Six Sigma, TQM and others
- Strive to be the foremost recognition vehicle for corporate quality performance results and individual contributors to the communications quality movement
